Every January, Opera Cultura’s Cantar con los Reyes brings the spirit of Día de los Reyes (Three Kings Day) to life through music, family, and cherished Mexican traditions. One of the highlights of the celebration is sharing Rosca de Reyes, a sweet crown-shaped bread adorned with colorful fruits that symbolize the jewels of the Magi. Inside each rosca lies a small figurine of baby Jesus — a surprise that reminds us of faith, family, and the joy of discovery.

No celebration is complete without a warm cup of Atole, a comforting drink made from corn masa, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk. This rich, traditional beverage has been enjoyed in Mexican homes for centuries and perfectly complements the sweetness of the Rosca. Together, they create a beautiful harmony of flavor and heritage — much like the music and community that fill the hall during our annual event.
Join us on January 4, 2026, at the San Jose Woman's Club for Cantar con los Reyes — a festive sing-along with Mariachi and opera star Omar Alejandro Rodríguez. Enjoy the warmth of Rosca de Reyes and Atole as we celebrate culture, family, and song.
