About the event
Opera Cultura presents Chicanísima in association with Quinteto Latino, a chamber opera by Carla Lucero based on the life of Chicana activist Olga Talamante and originally commissioned by the ensemble. The program also features selected arias by Latina composers and librettists, celebrating powerful contemporary voices in opera. Soprano Alexa Sessler, mezzo-soprano Jessica Gonzalez-Roddriguez, and tenor Sergio Gonzalez bring this one-hour staged concert to life in an intimate and compelling performance.

El programa también incluye arias de compositoras y libretistas latinas, celebrando poderosas voces contemporáneas en la ópera.
