MUSIC - THEATER - DANCE

July 16th - 27th || Ages 12 - 16 * 9am - 3pm

Young people will receive training in:

• Theater (acting)
• Dance
• Music (voice)

If your son or daughter loves to sing, act, or dance, then this is where they belong.

Students will have instruction in all three performing arts disciplines and be taught by professional artists.

Students with advanced training will be given opportunities to further develop their craft.

Our goal is simple -

Train young local artists that have big dreams and enormous talent.

SUMMER CAMPS AT MONTALVO ARTS CENTER

MUSICAL THEATER LIVE

June 11 to 22nd || 9am - 12pm * ages 9 - 12

In this this two week musical theater intensive students will receive acting, dancing and singing lessons with scenes from Broadway musicals including vocal techniques, improvisation and blocking. MUSICAL THEATER FOR CHILDREN

June 11 to 22nd || 1pm - 4pm * ages 6 - 8

What a great way to learn about the theater and the performing arts! In this two-week camp, students will explore creative movement, acting and singing. MORE ABOUT THE SUMMER CONSERVATORY

Students receive instruction in acting, dance, and singing lessons. Acting games are played which foster creative problem-solving, team work, and other life skills. Dance classes expose beginning dancers to basic dance steps while challenging current dance students with new choreography. Singing classes teach vocal techniques through exercises and song. Grades 6 - 12

Student Body

We're seeking students that re- present the culturally diverse communities of San Jose. We're particularly interested in those students who have not had this kind of training or opportunity before.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is intended to give students a cross cultural perspective.

Across Disciplines

We will provide your child high quality training in their favorite discipline, while giving them an opportunity to explore their talent in other disciplines.
